I’m Carrie, an independent wedding celebrant based in East Sussex, and I’m all about ditching the rulebook.

Serving up bespoke, non-traditional ceremonies across Sussex, Kent, London and beyond for couples who want their 'I dos' to feel like a party, not a performance.

No ‘insert name here’ scripts, no boring bits - just your story, told your way, with zero pressure to follow the rules.

Whether it’s a full blown wedding or a chilled out vow renewal, let’s make sure the best part of your day actually sounds like you.

I wish it went without saying, but the world’s a bit of a mess so I’ll say it - if you’re LGBTQIA+, you’re safe with me, and celebrating you and your love is important to me.

  • Carrie was incredibly supportive and meticulous throughout the planning process, and we were so grateful for her calming presence on the day. She also included some heartwarming surprise elements that we loved hearing for the first time during the ceremony. As two fairly quiet people, we loved having someone be able to so beautifully describe us to our loved ones, and tell our guests our story in a way that made the day feel all that more magical.

  • I’m not an emotional person so I had a great surprise when I started crying when I first saw the script Carrie wrote. She captured our relationship so beautifully. We decided to include bingo into the ceremony, which everyone said how brilliant and different it was. Carrie was the best decision we made for our wedding and we would HIGHLY recommend having her for your wedding.

  • Sometimes when you’re planning your wedding you’ll speak to potential suppliers and they’ll make you feel like they just want your business, pressuring you for a decision. Carrie gave us the space to think, and we’re so glad we chose her. We didn’t really know what we wanted from a ceremony in those early days, as the idea of a ceremony that was less traditional did initially seem daunting - but Carrie was very reassuring and provided plenty of inspiration and suggested ideas to explore. We are so grateful for having found a celebrant that helped us develop and deliver our vision, and ultimately crafted something incredibly special we will remember for the rest of our lives. We would highly recommend Carrie to anyone - she is a superstar!

  • Wow! From the moment we met Carrie we just knew that she would be the perfect celebrant for our surprise wedding celebration. This was followed by an in-person pub lunch and we just connected over our ideas, my love of organising and planning and she put our minds to rest on the variety of questions we asked. Within a week Carrie produced our first draft of our script and then another teams call to finalise and coordinate the main event. Carrie then arrived at our event (a good couple of hours drive for her) and set all the plans in action! The service was just perfect and matched us to a tee! Guests were asking “where had we met this delightful and fantastic” lady! To us she had put the icing on the cake! All topped with class and bubbles! We would definitely recommend Carrie to everyone!   • How do I begin to explain Carrie? She is totally cool, fun, social and very easy to talk to. She has a warm and kind demeanor that makes you instantly comfortable being around her. She listened to what we wanted and made the magic happen. And when we didn't know what we wanted she talked us through different things and helped us find something amazing. I'm thankful we found her for our Wedding. All the guests said how genuinely lovely she was, making everyone feel welcome. I would give her 10 stars if I could!
